1990s war movies

The 1990s in war movies were times of major change in approach to World War 2. Since 1970s the war movies about the war were mostly the adventure ones, but during 1990s the creators returned to more realistic view on war and not in the as another superproduction, but rather as isolated stories that perhaps did not have the crucial part for the whole conflict (like Saving Private Ryan, Stalingrad, The Thin Red Line, When Trumpets Fade). The fall of Soviet Union made the Cold War movies obsolete, so more adventure movies about wars were made (like The Hunt for Red October, Sniper).
